Afro-Surrealism is the creative ability of the mind that allows us to reinterpret, reorganise, and recreate our experiences, or even to create new, imagined ones that are dependent on our own past or present experiences. KE RONA describes Afro-Surrealism as the form of the photographer’s work inspired by the black cultural aesthetic with the purpose of liberating the people and expanding our understanding of how black individuals exist.
