The LABYRINTHINE exhibition is showing the amazing work of multiple artists from South Africa. The group exhibition is part of The New Vanguard mentoring programme, an initiative developed by Berman Contemporary and curated by Els van Mourik.

We could like to welcome Gina van der Ploeg - she is our latest artist to join The New Vanguard Group.  Gina has been intrigued by the ritual of art making through textiles (an age old “craft” that undermines the idea of “fine art”), how our bodies become present in the art we produce, and ways in which objects can elicit embodied responses from people.
