UNTIL THE COWS COME HOME | 2021
Cow Mash

I find myself drawn to my personal and cultural history as a source of inspiration for my creative work. In this particular series, I have used objects from my nostalgic memories as a canvas or landscape for depicting herds of praying cows or women.

These nostalgic objects serve as a powerful connection to my past, evoking memories of both the church environment in which I was raised and the constant visual memory of cattle moving in herds. This spiritual nostalgia is intertwined with my names and the deep sense of identity and spirituality that they evoke.

My names have always been an important part of my spiritual identity, and they carry with them a sense of both the spirituality attached to them and the omens and curses associated with them. This has shaped my personal and cultural history, and serves as a powerful source of inspiration for my creative work.
